| A Christian church spire in the old city, and a winter tree, bare of leaves. Someday, Spring will blossom in this country of struggle and pain. Buds will grow and a new song will be heard. When will this be? "Quickly come," the orthodox pray, and our prayers mingle together as one. The Visit to Shorashim During the time in Israel we had the privilege to spend an hour with Moshe and Dov Kempinski. Roni Winter first introduced D. W. Cover to the two brothers who are hosting lively and meaningful spiritual dialogue from their Shorashim storefront on Tiferet Israel (no. 3) in the Old City. Moshe describes their vision, of creating and maintaining this unique center in the Old City, a gathering place, "a place of learning and dialogue ...a center where individuals and groups can discuss, debate, and discover the beauty and depth ensconced within G-d's words in Torah." Craig and I returned that same day to visit one more time, and came away with a sense of God's beautiful work, so much deeper than what separates us, rendering humility and grace in our lives, removing us from the necessity of being in control, or knowing all the answers.
