If we squirmed while trying to convince our parents that we really didn't
take the last cookie from the jar-try explaining a lifetime of secrets
deeds to God Almighty.
Judgment
day may seem unreal, but we will all stand before God himself and explain
why we did what we did during our lives on earth. We will have to give
account. Good deeds will be rewarded, and bad deeds will be punished.
While eye-batting and sugarcoating may have worked with Mom and Dad, nobody
will escape the judgment of our all-knowing God.
"Giving
Account" doesn't mean only telling of misdeeds however. To give account
is to tell about something, whether bad or good. In the Bible God gives
account of his activities and interactions with humanity. He tells of
the creation of the world and the lineage of his chosen families.
God's
Word gives various accounts of his activity and his people's lineage.
