Bethlehem
Best known
as the prophesied birthplace of Jesus Christ, Bethlehem is referred to
in Scripture as the "town of David." King David, an ancestor
of Jesus Christ, was born in Bethlehem, which is less than 10 miles south
of Jerusalem.
