Family
Often described as the basic unit of society, the family––a
mother, a father and the children born to, or adopted by, the parents––was
God's idea. The Bible is God's guide to a healthy family, even as it describes
the tragedies of families broken by sin.
As God's children, Christians are part of a huge spiritual family. We've
been adopted as God's sons and daughters through Jesus Christ (see Ephesians
1:4-5). Our heavenly Father wants us to call him by that very endearment––Father.
He's our tender and compassionate "Daddy," our provider and
protector.
