Scripture
Log onto the Internet and you will find a plethora of personal Web sites revealing the detailed private lives of their creators: their preferred films, educational backgrounds and favored pets. Scripture, also called the Bible, is like God's home page. The Bible is God's authorized autobiography and his communication with humans. He inspired selected authors to write down his story for us.

Before Jesus Christ came to the earth, the collection of inspired writings consisted of what we now call the Old Testament, the books from Genesis through Malachi. After Jesus' resurrection, Scripture was completed with the inclusion of the New Testament, the books arranged from Matthew to Revelation.

When we read the Bible, we hear from God and grow in our experience with Jesus Christ. All Scripture points to Jesus, and our familiarity with Scripture leads us know him more.
