Sows
What does the phrase "You reap what you sow" really mean? The Bible compares our actions with sowing seeds in a field. The plants will come up according to the seeds that were planted. In the same way, a person who does things right in the eyes of God will reap a reward for his or her work. But someone who "sows" actions that are displeasing to God will reap trouble.

Jesus Christ also used this imagery to illustrate various responses to the Word of God. God's people are called to sow in the hearts of humankind the seeds of God's Word. Those who tell others about Christ are like a farmer sowing seeds and watering the ground, in other words, instructing and preparing people to receive Christ as Savior. Sometimes, the seed falls on the hard - packed soil, and Satan snatches it away before it can change the person's life. Other times, the seed does "take root," leading to a healthy life in Christ.
