"We live in a culture of noise. There are voices rising in pitch, timbre and degrees of emotion everywhere we turn. We carry on our lives in a dizzying, blisteringly paced time, where the themes surrounding our very existence have become a sonic blur, where reflections on truth are shoved to the margin and regarded simply as more information by the feedback mediated in images, words, sounds, and animations about every topic under the sun. Seeking a quiet place to reflect and question what one actually believes, or even more importantly, to ask the sincere questions that lead to a search for truth, has become an increasingly rare commodity. Our cultural institutions, from religion to politics, from entertainment to finance, discuss often extreme positions on hunger and poverty, love, morality, and war; they dictate loudly opinionated (and often commodity based) notions of creating community, that do little more than become fodder for the battlegrounds that contribute to increased isolationism, alienation, and divisiveness. Institutional religion, as merely another human construct, has certainly contributed its share of noise . In The Words we are presented with a way of hearing, a quiet remix single voice in heart of the feedback zone. These words are here to accept, ignore or reject at will. If they are to be considered, it is not because they have been shouted through a bullhorn or from some lofty platform, or for the dazzle of their verbal presentation; but simply as an introduction, a conversation starter, offered person to person, the most intimate form of communication there is-- one that despite our best efforts as a culture, we’ve been unable to drown out completely. Here is a place outside the din, a place to wallow, to chill or simply rest while encountering something very old and covered over, stripped clean of their usual trappings and presented nakedly for your perusal, consideration, and perhaps even delight."

"The book, The Words, was introduced and immediately I saw it as something we needed, and I considered it a book that had come to us in God`s timing. The Words is a book that transcends religious reading, making Christ’s words living, current, and applicable to this age. Even though a lot of young people here learn English well enough to read, conveying of thoughts of Jesus in our mother language brings them closer to the heart of the truth. These words exist as powerful dismissal of the philosophers such as Voltaire and similar who predicted that the Gospel would fade out in the sequence of future generations. On the contrary, it is more present and alive than ever! "

" In Lee Cantelon's symposium of the words of Jesus, their full and concentrated force has been given exhilarating expression. The impact is phenomenal. Why? Because they are the Words of Jesus! Jesus plainly states, "my words are spirit and are life!" His Words are invested with the total power and ultimate authority of His sovereign personality. For the German mind, this particular masterful presentation demands attention as it deals logically and conclusively with acute matters of everyday life. Here is profound philosophy sandwiched in glorious simplicity, so that even the heirs of the dichter und denker nation are challenged to reconsider their ways of thinking concerning things seen and things unseen. The winsome quality of Jesus' Words, as well as their grace and beauty, enthrall the modern reader. His pithy sayings have become an integral part of our cultural heritage. His directness finds a marvelous echo in the German heart, as does his wisdom and wit, his tact and his teaching, his courage to controversy, and his unwavering convictions concerning the full spectrum of human relationships and human dreams.

"Jesus, as highlighted by The Words, deals with mankind and it's besetting problems in a manner that greatly appeals to the Teutonic race. He always goes to the root causes, shows their consequences and offers definite and proven cures. He is not only philosophical, but also very practical, a combination that rouses the envy of the expert. His healing hand is on man's feverish pulse. His insight into human affairs surpasses the more or less learned attempts of the various therapists, and His outlook goes far beyond any human imagination. His certainty is not flawed by doubts and His truth is irrefutable. He confronts man with his dilemma and demands a decision.
This appeals to storm-tossed people. Here is anchorage, here is succor for the soul, here is life worth living. The Words of Jesus are words of hope.

"Here is not only powerful reading, here is depth of understanding for my personal predicament and here is help offered for my dire need. Free of charge! No strings attached! No pitfalls - religious or otherwise! Not long ago, when immigrants from the former Soviet Union arrived at the Friedberg repatriation camp, lonely, lost, full of uncertainty and without any means, they were handed a free copy of The Words of Jesus. As they avidly read words very applicable to their situation, hope strengthened their resolve to make a go of the new opportunities. The Words of Jesus in action at the grass roots! The Words of Jesus are a tonic for the whole man. Appreciation must be expressed for the vision and its realization to produce them in this powerful fashion. Read The Words and get in touch with God. Life will never be the same again!" - HERBERT ROS, theologian and writer, Stuttgart, Germany

”How do I know that the resurrection and the whole Gospel is real? I know not only because of an acquaintance with the primary sources from the first century A.D., or even because of the words of Jesus. I know primarily, and I affirm this truth to you, on the basis of what I have witnessed in my own life... Jesus Christ provides a basis for hope and for the most profound personal satisfaction.”
