RICKIE LEE JONES took The Words and used it as a source of inspiration for thirteen songs based on what she discovered on those pages. The result was "The Sermon on Exposition Boulevard," which was released in a standard package, and a deluxe package that includes a DVD, by New West Records. Much has been written online about this project and the fact that it is based, without apology, on the words of Jesus as found in The Words.
